Paraphilia
Paraphilia is a non-normative attraction. Attraction to somebeing / something other than a consenting adult human, actions other than the ones implied by intimacy with a partner and vessel parts that is not sexual characteristics. A paraphilia can be of any attraction type. The opposite of paraphilia is normophilia.
Paraphilias can be categorized into three categories:
- Sentiophilia - An umbrella term for attractions to sentient beings
- Fetishes - Includes:
- Attraction to concepts
- Objectophilia - An attraction to objects
- Partialism - An attraction to vessel parts
- Kinks - Attractions to activities, processes and states
It must be emphasized that paraphilias are attractions and not disorders, neither they are actions, and being attracted to somebeing/something does not mean that being will look for sexual and/or romantic acts with the somebeing/something to who/what they are attracted.
