Self-shipping is a type of shipping where a being ships themself, a self-insert (S/I) or a sona with a character.
Terms
- Double
- A yumeshipper who has the same F/O as another yumeshipper
- Fictional Other (F/O)
- The fictional character that a yumeshipper ships themselves with
- Fidelity List
- A list of yumeships that a being considers canon
- Gachikoi
- A being who is serious about their relationship with their F/O
- Riako
- A feminine term for gachikoi
- Yumedanshi
- A masculine term for a yumeshipper
- Yumeship
- A ship where a being ships themself, a S/I, or a sona with a fictional character
- Yumejin
- A gender-neutral term for a yumeshipper
- Yumejoshi
- A feminine term for a yumeshipper
- Yumesona
- A persona that a yumeshipper uses to represent themself specifically for their yumeship
Sharing Statuses
- Hyper Non-Sharing
- A being has particularly strong aversion to doubles
- Hypersharing
- A being is fine with doubles, and actively promotes and encourages sharing their F/O
- Mirror Sharing
- A being's sharing status reflects the being's they are interacting with
- Non-Sharing
- A being dislikes seeing / interacting with beings that have the same F/O
- Selective Sharing
- Semisharing
- A being has specific being(s) that they are fine with having the same F/O
- Sharing
- A being is fine with having the same F/O as somebeing
- Voidsharing
- A being refuses to believe doubles exist and blocks on sight
